Break a Leg

What it means

Good luck, said to a performer about to go on.

Where it comes from

Theatre superstition holds that wishing someone luck brings the opposite, so the wish is inverted. Dancers say it to each other too, which given the profession takes some nerve.

The puzzle it came from

Break a Leg was the answer to the Phrasicle of April 5, 2025. The clue read ____ a ____, and the words came out of a grid where every neighbouring pair makes a two-word phrase.
